When I first decided to transfer to another school on the island last summer, I felt that so much opportunity would be waiting for me. I felt that I could make some new friends at my new school, as well as reconnect with old ones. A few weeks into the year, it was a disaster. I didn’t learn anything in my classes. I felt as if my entire life was crashing down around me. I kept thinking that it would all pass, but it kept going downhill from there. After the first quarter ended I transferred into the Oasis program. Now, I’m doing much better in school. I’d like to thank the Oasis school for supporting me on my decision as well as helping me get back on track.
