There are times when you want to say: “Enough is Enough.” This is one of those times.
People are hurting. The economy is bad, people are unemployed or working for reduced wages with no benefits, the ferry system just put in their summer fares, gas is almost $5 a gallon and the summer activities through the Rec. Program is non-existent. Now we are asked to pay money to go to Moran State Park. Don’t you think that it’s too much for many of the families on Orcas? My wife and I live on social security and it’s getting more and more difficult to make ends meet. I don’t know the solution to the money crisis at the park, but asking us to pay is just wrong.
