My daughter, Rachel Beth Gibson, was born and died in a hospital in Seattle. But her spirit never left the island after a car accident. She had come back to the island for sanctuary.
A celebration of life and potluck will be given to the people of the islands by the friends of Rachel Beth Gibson. Native drums and local musicians will be performing. Everyone is welcome. Wear something fun, maybe a costume. If you knew my daughter, you would know she would love that. Girls love to dress up. We found our tribe here, and we are thankful for all of our friends.
It will be at the Oddfellows Hall on Oct. 14 between noon and 4 p.m. Please come.
