Among those many folks who are working assiduously to care for our island’s residents during these frightening times, I want to give a special “shout out” to those people working in Island Market.

Despite the extra work burdens required to make shopping at the market safe, they continue to serve customers efficiently, and with goodwill.

And despite the concerns they surely must share with the rest of us concerning their own health, and that of their families, they continue to be helpful, and pleasant.

And despite the shortage of many items, and the delays in the supply chain over which they have limited control at best, they continue to be informative, realistic, and positive.

I am grateful to all those working daily at our Island Market.
