Did you know that Buck Park was a GIFT to this community? No money from Orcas Island pockets was needed to buy the land or build the park facility.

The land was donated by the family of Robert Buck and the park facility was built with funds generated by a $350,000 grant from the State of Washington. But, as it turns out, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE PARK. It is now time for the members of our community to support the future of this wonderful recreational facility and to ensure its’ care and maintenance into the future.

Please vote yes to support the levy to fund the Orcas Island Park and Recreation District.

You’ll also be supporting all of the great recreational programs which the Park District will provide for all of us kids, young and old.
