I have read many letters to the editor praising the Orcas Island EMTs. I never considered that either my husband or I would need them. But we did!

I called them shortly after midnight on Nov. 5. They arrived quickly, especially considering the difficult road they had to travel. They were wonderful: professional, caring, efficient; they also had to deal with a very difficult transfer from our home to the rescue vehicle and did it graciously.

This letter of thanks to Nick Kiniski, paramedic; Alex Conrad, Rita Harvey, Bob Nutt, EMTs; and Liam Nutt, firefighter, is long overdue, but definitely heartfelt.
