I am writing to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the EMTs, paramedics, and good samaritans who assisted a bicyclist who suffered a fatal heart attack during a bicycle tour last week.

Although our friend is now gone, I know that he received the absolute best care possible. Another guest on our tour is an emergency room nurse who was able to observe the treatment that was provided offered. This nurse was able to convey to the victim’s wife how everything possible that could be done was being done. This was very comforting. This was only possible due to the equipment and supplies in your ambulance as was well as the professionalism and training of your staff.

A special thanks goes out to Patrick Shepler for the caring, professional manner in which he spoke to the victim’s wife.
