I would like to thank everyone who has supported my daughter, Sara Kissel, during the past few months, and particularly the last couple of weeks.  She has put in so much time and effort into keeping her restaurant and the outpouring of love and support has been nothing short of amazing. Unfortunately, it was not enough to keep it from being taken from her.

The last night at Bilbos was so much fun, even through the tears. Sara has shown remarkable grace and integrity throughout, and I am very proud of her.

We have lived on Orcas for 30 years, and many of you have watched her grow up, and raise her own family.  I think she is a very gifted and courageous woman, and we appreciate all of you islanders who have stepped up and tried to help.
