As most of us who travel daily through Moran State Park will attest, you and your staff have orchestrated a major construction project this spring and summer in upgrading the server system within the middle and south end campus. This involved laying a temporary server line while the main lines were rebuilt and trenches dug along the heavily traveled road from the lake, south to Camp Moran. The contractor, Boss Construction, we suspect encountered some of that famous Orcas stone along the way that needed heavy equipment and many man hours to remove. The long and short of it was a new trench along the road for a new pipeline and, with help from OPALCO, buried power lines as well.
With your organization and advanced planning the job required only minor traffic delays that were greatly eased by pleasant flaggers who smiled and waved as we all waited and then passed on.
Thank you, Ranger Rich, for a project well organized with the least inconvenience to us. Oh, and by the way, your improving the Obstruction Pass State Park road is also greatly appreciated. No more pot holes, at least for now!
