Our brother Russell Helmeid passed away a year ago (8/11/46-10/26/09). He had been a long-time resident of Friday Harbor, a place he loved to be.

We want to sincerely thank all of the great people we met while taking care of Russ’ affairs. His friends offered sympathy, support and help while we were there, and since.

During our brief stay in Friday Harbor it was easy to see why Russ enjoyed his life on the island: it was the people.

Thank you Friday Harbor for all you were for Russell while he lived and for us during our time of need. A special thank you to Bob and Tina, Dennis, Donald, Arnie, Paul and Andrea, Jennifer, Abigail, Bish and Rocket.
