Concerning your story (and my letter) regarding the Orcas Recreation equipment issue in your May 25 edition, I would like to note that San Juan County has seen the light.

The original request for $1000 to buy “our” equipment back for the Orcas Park & Rec District has been reduced to $342. This is a much more reasonable request and represents a fair price for the materials that the County purchased for Orcas Rec and basically returns the items that Orcas residents donated to the program at no charge. I would like to thank Richard Fralick for making things right!
