This November the “Hops on the Rock” festival will once again shut down the streets of Eastsound to offer live music, local food and 20 plus local breweries from around the region for a destination beer festival on Nov. 9.
“We are thrilled for another festival,” says co-founder of the event, and owner of Island Hoppin’ Brewery, Becca Gray. “After a wildly successful first two years, we’re expanding the space, adding more music and putting together an incredible lineup of breweries featuring our favorite producers from last year along with some fresh new faces!” Breweries attending will include Stoup, Twenty Corners and Aslan – among others – who will be showcasing their talents alongside local chefs and live music performances.
Tickets are $35 and available online. These may be purchased via the website at www.hopsontherock.com. The event is expected to sell out as it has the first two years.
The Hops on the Rock Committee is composed of local business persons: Becca Gray (Island Hoppin’ Brewery); Regan Vaughn (Smokestack Services); Cole Sisson (Doe Bay Wine Company); Jacob Linnes (Island Market); Rick Hughes (Ray’s Pharmacy); and Chase Woodward (Chased by Design). They share the common belief that November is the most underrated time of the year to visit the island and that drinking beer is the most underrated excuse to do so.
