The 2018 Paper Airplane Contest will be on Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at the high school gym.
Kiwanis Club will host this year, along with the Orcas Radio Control Aircraft Society (ORCAS). ORCAS will assist with the contests and present a demonstration of indoor radio controlled airplane flight.
New this year, each participating child will receive a ticket for a chance to win a free new Aeronea Champ radio controlled airplane donated by ORCAS.
At the end of all contests, Kiwanis Club will award first, second and third-place ribbons to the winners followed by the drawing for the lucky airplane winner. The child having the gold star ticket must be present to win the airplane.
As always there will be a prize for the most beautiful airplane submitted. Kids can have fun making their plane at home out of any material and decorations they choose to wow the judges.
