Starting April 1, Kathy Huberland will be exhibiting some of her paintings of botanical subjects in the Orcas Island Library.

Kathy’s originally from California but her interest in botanical drawing and painting increased after she spent time in the changing seasons of the Midwest.

There she became interested in the Milkweed plant and its relationship to Monarch Butterflies. Most recently Kathy has become fascinated by the forest floor and its incredible relationship to all Biodiversity.
