Thrive San Juan Islands welcomes South Whidbey author Vicki Robin to San Juan, Lopez and Orcas Islands in mid-June. She will speak about her new book “Blessing the Hands that Feed Us: what eating closer to home can teach us about food, community and our place on earth.”
Robin will speak at The Brickworks in Friday Harbor on Tuesday, June 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. She will tour Lopez farms and then speak at the Lopez Library on Wednesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. On Thursday, June 19, come by the Orcas Food Co-op at 12:30 p.m. for a casual conversation. At 7 p.m., there will be a presentation at Emmanuel Church Hall followed by a reception and book signing at Darvill’s at 8 p.m.
