The Orcas Center is pleased to welcome Caroline Herring, American singer and songwriter, on Oct. 4. Tickets are $25/$21 for members and $15 for students.
Since her debut as one of the “Best New Acts of Austin” (Austin American Statesman) just over a decade ago, Caroline has been heralded as “the social justice songwriter of her generation,” and likened to Joan Baez. Covering issues from coal-mining to civil rights to child-raising, her clear voice and lyrical guitar bring voice to the complex, unspoken issues in modern society in compositions influenced by tradition, and a deep rooting in the American South.
