Come celebrate Halloween on Monday, Oct. 31 in Eastsound. The Chamber of Commerce wants to make sure we all keep an eye out for little goblins and ghouls as they wander around town, filling baskets with treats.

Some shops may not be comfortable with large groups entering. Look for signs at businesses that might help keep crowds to a minimum. And if you aren’t feeling well, please consider staying home. Also, the chamber is working with San Juan County to help reduce traffic on North Beach Road. Between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m. no new traffic will be allowed to enter North Beach at Main Street and at A Street.

Dance party

Calling all oddities to the Oddfellows Hall on All Hallows Eve: The Halloween Party is back and we’re casting a delicious spell on you. Disclaimer: please do not read the following aloud for fear of accidental summoning of spirits.

Come little children, I’ll take thee away, into a land of enchantment. Come little children, the time’s come to play. Here in our garden of magic. DJ G’Lamour Spell makes their international debut right here in spooky little Eastsound — stationed exactly direct from the island vortex. It’s a dance party, it’s a night to celebrate the dead. It’s a night for the (spell) books fit with a handful of surprises. And snap your photo in the Smilebooth.

Come one, come all on Monday, Oct. 31 at The Oddfellows Hall from 8 p.m. to the witching hour (12 a.m.). All ages. There will be a costume contest and prizes include a gift certificate from Liberté Beauty, Orcas Center show tickets and a massage with Iona McCombie Smith.

Produced in part by the crones and druids of Orcas Center, Orcas Pride and Orcas Love. Come, join us as we dedicate graveyards to our collective dancefloor murder. Unfaithful lover long since dead, deep asleep in thy wormy bed. Wiggle thy toes, open thine eyes, twist thy fingers towards the sky. Life is sweet, be not shy. On thy feet. So sayeth i!

Tickets: $10 to $20 sliding scale prepay online at: https://www.ticketsource.us/orcas-pride/t-avadrny or cash only at the door.
