Moran State Park is holding an Annual Cleanup Day on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Cascade Lake Picnic Shelter to check in, register and get “work” assignments.
Volunteers should bring warm clothes, work gloves, water, snacks, and any tools they may want. Friends of Moran will provide some simple lunch foods such as hotdogs and State Parks will provide tools such as rakes, shovels, pruners, and trash bags.
The Cleanup day is a volunteer event that aims to clean up the Cascade Day Use Area as well as Northend and Midway Campgrounds. This mostly means removing branches, debris, and litter left over from winter from the area. At around noon they’ll be offering hotdogs and other simple picnic style foods. The event will wrap up around 1 p.m.
