Cooking class at Pebble Cove Farm

Health and wellness coach Cindy Thompson is coming to Orcas Island to teach a “fun, educational” cooking class.

“The Magic of Winter Squash,” a plant-based oil-free cooking class, will be held Saturday, March 2, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Pebble Cove Farm.

Thompson is a certified vegan health and lifestyle coach in the Seattle area.

Recipes for the class include winter squash, flatbread, tamales, enchiladas, quick and easy red enchilada sauce and quick and easy cheesy sauce.

Tickets are $60 and will include demonstrations and plenty of delicious samples. For every ticket sold, Pebble Cove Farm will make a donation to Green Vegans. Green Vegans is an organization that is raising the awareness of the connection between food choices and the most important issues of our time: environmental destruction, loss of biodiversity, climate change, human overpopulation, and social and economic justice.
