David Lindley will return to Orcas Center for one performance only, on Thursday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Taking time out of a hectic international tour with long-time musical collaborator, Jackson Browne, Lindley will visit both San Juan and Orcas Islands to perform his one-man show.
A legendary multi-instrumentalist, Lindley has long championed the concept of world music. His electro-acoustic performance effortlessly combines American folk, blues, and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy, and Turkish musical sources. Lindley is well known for his many years as the featured accompanist with Jackson Browne, and leader of his own band El Rayo-X. His musical associates also include Ry Cooder, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Linda Ronstadt, Crosby and Nash, and Warren Zevon, among many others.
