Live Music comes to the Village Green July 8, 9, and 14 as part of the FREE Summer Concert Series presented by Orcas Center, OrcaSong Farm, Country Corner, and San Juan County.
Friday, July 8 at 6pm: Zan Fiskum with special guest, Grace McCune
Island favorite Grace McCune opens for Maple Valley raised singer/songwriter Zan Fiskum, who uses her haunting and beautifully controlled singing to craft ethereal and brooding folk/pop songs. Zan made her national debut on NBC’s The Voice as aTop Nine finalist. She has achieved over 2 million streams on Spotify alone.
Saturday, July 9 at 6pm: Leon Bell with special guest, Leon J
Leon Bell takes a contemporary spin on soul and R&B styles that resonate rhythm, melody, and passion. Now in his 70’s, he had decades of success ranging from writing hit songs for Elton John to becoming one of the top 16 performers on The X Factor.
Opening for LeRoy Bell is Leon J, whose musical focus is foot tapping, hand clapping – ‘Simply Good Music’. Modern styles meet Delta Blues, Country, Country blues, and Americana Roots Music.
Thursday, July 14 at 7pm: Asleep at the Wheel
Asleep at the Wheel is an American Western swing group that was formed in Paw Paw, West Virginia, and is based in Austin, Texas. The band has won nine Grammy Awards since their 1970 inception, released over twenty albums, and has charted more than 21 singles on the Billboard country charts.
