Cybersecurity Basics workshop

Changes impacting employers in 2025: Minimum wage increase Jan. 1

Washington’s minimum wage will be $16.66 per hour beginning Jan. 1, 2025. Workers who are 14 or 15 years old may be paid 85% of the adult minimum wage, or $14.16 per hour.

Soroptimist 2025 education awards for SJC women

The extended deadline for applications is March 1.

Now accepting applications for its 2025 post-secondary educational and vocational skills training program awards.

Soroptimists provide support in many ways for women and girls in our county, particularly through efforts to empower women through education. Three 2025 awards offer different opportunities:

• The Education Opportunity Award, for undergraduate or vocational/skills training.

• The Fellowship Award for graduate study.

• The Trades Award for women training in trades skills, jobs which are in high demand in our community.
