Orcas Island High School Senior Ewan Lister was one of 80-plus students from Washington selected to participate in the Washington Aerospace Scholars Summer Residency Program in July 2019 at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

During his residency, Lister was chosen to receive the Washington Aerospace Scholars William E. Boeing Jr., Community Collaboration Award. This is the only individual award that is given during the residency, presented to the student who demonstrates outstanding communication and collaboration skills. The recipient of the award is chosen through recommendations from the participants and faculty.
