The Orcas Center Board of Trustees is hosting a special farewell Open House to honor Executive Director Dimitri Stankevich, who is stepping down after six years of dedicated service to Orcas Center.

Community members, supporters, artists and friends are invited to stop by Orcas Center from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, May 9, to share their appreciation and well wishes. Light refreshments will be served.

Since Stankevich started at Orcas Center in 2019, he fearlessly led us through COVID, expanded programming and community engagement, helped us get on solid financial footing, completed many needed infrastructure projects … and so much more. We are incredibly grateful for his leadership at Orcas Center and within the community at large!

This open house offers a chance to recognize Stankevich’s impact and celebrate his lasting legacy. No formal program is planned. We welcome everyone to come and express gratitude and say farewell!
