Island treasure and renowned watercolorist Frank Loudin has generously offered a wide array of his original watercolor paintings for sale to benefit Orcas Center. Postponed earlier due to COVID precautions, the online auction will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, running through 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5.
Patrons will be given the opportunity to purchase a painting at the “Buy Now” price or put in the “Opening Bid” to start the online auction. Over 50 of Frank’s original watercolors will be for sale, with the proceeds benefitting Orcas Center.
The Visual Arts Committee is hosting an Opening Party Sunday, Nov. 21 from 5-6:30 p.m. Attendees will have a chance to meet Frank, hear some of his stories, view his paintings, purchase a limited selection of signed prints, and learn how to bid in the online auction. There will also be a video presentation featuring Frank on a virtual tour of the show.
Mark your calendar for the Closing Party on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This will be the last chance to make bids.
