The farm camp led by Amy Lum at Salmonberry School just finished up a week of activities. The 16 kids, aged five to eight years old, learned about eggs and feathers, held ducklings and chickens, interacted with goats and lambs, made feather prints/painted feathers, dyed wool, created paper plate ducks and cardboard barns, dyed the lambs, felted soap, crocheted/finger knitted, milked goats, made butter and short cake and fed Oliver the calf. The participants were mix of islanders and mainland residents.
