For those who have not heard, the former Written Word booth at the San Juan County Fair has a new name: Island Writers.

Organizers are encouraging local writers to submit work for this year’s fair.

“Dust off the keyboard, tone up the fingers, ignite your imagination and start tapping those keys!” they said.

Stories, poems, and non-fiction are all accepted. They must be unpublished works.
