The Orcas Island Health Care District is hosting a Town Hall Saturday, Oct. 5, from 3-5 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire station. The meeting will update the community on where OIHCD stands in delivering the desired scope of health care services. This will include an overview of what is or isn’t working, and what the implications are in terms of cost, structure and services going forward. Islanders will hear how the current structure is impacting the long-term sustainability of health care.
