Jacqueline Kempfer is opening her artist studio at 474 North Beach Road, formerly The Living Room. The studio will provide a venue for Kempfer to paint in various mediums and a gallery space for her
larger works. It is only open to the public by appointment and during events.
Kempfer is holding an opening reception on Dec. 9 from 3 to 8 p.m.
Future plans include demonstrations of her painting technique. Although Kempfer will be creating artwork in the studio, her miniature, gouache, and plein air paintings of Orcas Island will continue to be
exhibited and sold through Crow Valley Pottery in Eastsound. Kempfer has opened the studio to Orcas Island Palettes for their winter meetings.
“I have always wanted a large studio and I am delighted to contribute to the history and creative atmosphere of this unique location,” Kempfer said.
