Enjoying herbal teas can be much more than a form of nourishment or medicine – it can offer an opportunity for daily ritual, time for self-care, a shift in consciousness. Join herbalist Kristy Bredin to learn about and forage wild plants for making home tea blends on Saturday, April 28 at Warm Valley Farm, Orcas Island, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Early bird registration is $30 and $35 after April 21.
“Collecting the wild plants around us for tea can help us to deepen our relationship with our environment and strengthen that connection that allows us to see more sustainable ways of living where we are,” say organizers. The group will discuss options for plant drying set-ups, plant identification, fresh versus dried teas, tea blending, sustainable wildcrafting and benefits of working with wild plants.
