Anyone visiting the Saturday Farmers’ Market this summer has likely noticed the Lions Club booth with its bright yellow banners.

What started as an effort to improve the visibility of the club evolved into a fund-raising raffle as well. The first winner on July 4th was Jeannie Doty, pictured here. She won $1000 to spend at her choice of local sponsoring businesses.

The next drawing is on Sept. 30 at the last Farmers’ Market of the summer. Raffle tickets are available for $1 or 6 for $5 at the Farmers Market booth each Saturday until then. All funds raised go back to the local community through Lions Club charitable programs.
