There will be live music at the Doe Bay Cafe on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m.

Rey Villalobos, a Los Angeles native and part-time Portlander, has been creating music most of his life as both a solo singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

Having grown up a classically trained pianist who lists Chopin among his influences, he founded The Coral Sea, a California-based indie band that created quite a buzz for themselves after the band’s songs were featured on “Grey’s Anatomy” and many other TV shows and films.
