The Emmanuel Episcopal Church, on Eastsound’s waterfront, will open its Parish Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 4:30-6 p.m., for an indoor labyrinth walk.
Though the outdoor stone labyrinth is open at all times, the indoor labyrinth walk continues as a winter tradition. In a softly glowing hall filled with quiet music, the labyrinth beckons walkers of all faiths, or of none in particular, to pause for contemplation at the turning of the year.
One may take some moments to walk quietly, reflecting on what is important; bring a vision, a hope, a wish, a prayer, a promise, or an intention for the new year; open to whatever gifts or insights may be received. The labyrinth offers a path to a renewed sense of peace.
All are freely welcomed to drop in at any time up until around 5:45 p.m., at 242 Main St., in Eastsound.
