Submitted by the Orcas Center.

“Nye,” a production from National Theatre Live, written by Tim Price and directed by Rufus Norris, comes to the Orcas Center screen on Friday, March 21, at 6 p.m.

Michael Sheen (“The Queen,” “Frost/Nixon”) plays Aneurin “Nye” Bevan in a surreal and spectacular journey through the life and legacy of the man who transformed Britain’s welfare state and created the National Health Service.

Confronted with death, Bevan’s deepest memories lead him on a mind-bending journey back through his life, from childhood to mining underground, Parliament and fights with Churchill.
