Orcas A Cappella invites the community to a yuletide celebration at Rosario mansion.
The holiday event is an evening of song, feasting and holiday cheer. The choir will be joined by special guests Susan Osborn and Ann Palmer as well as harpist Mary WillAllen.
The performance, conducted by director Dennis Bonner and associate director Angel Michaels, will present music from the 14th to the 20th centuries, including arrangements by Ralph Vaughn Williams and John Rutter and compositions by Damijan Mocnik (a recent visiting conductor). The choir will sing two of its favorite “Ave Marias” and caroling will include holiday favorites.
Before the musical program begins, there will be a feast of delectable appetizers prepared by the Orcas Village Store.
A no host bar is available at The Moran Room in the mansion.
The event will be held on two evening: Monday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person and are available at Darvill’s and at Rosario Resort. Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased by Nov. 24.
There will be a concert-only performance on Lopez Island on Dec. 5 at Grace Church beginning at 4 p.m. Admission is by donation.
