Orcas Center’s Visual Arts Committee is calling all Orcas artists to showcase your creativity and passion for ceramics and watercolors for the next art exhibit in the Madrona Room on Oct. 25. Community shows are open to all island artists, beginning and experienced alike. Its purpose is to showcase island art and celebrate the creativity of our neighbors! To exhibit in a show, an artist needs to come on the delivery day, Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 10:15 a.m. to noon with their artwork ready to be hung or displayed on a podium. Join us for the reception on Friday, Oct. 25, starting at 5:30 p.m. to see the full show with featured artist Ponch Immel! Limit three pieces per artist. Pick up artwork on Nov. 20, 10:15 a.m to noon.
