Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival searching for new Executive Director | Sponsored post

The highly acclaimed Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival was established in 1997 by Aloysia Friedmann who continues to serve as Artistic Director, along with Jon Kimura Parker who serves as Artistic Advisor. Through their national reputation and artistic reach, the Festival attracts world-class musicians to perform during its three-week summer season and in special events throughout the year.

The Executive Director is a full-time, year-round position leading all aspects of OICMF operations and administrative management encompassing development, finance, community outreach, management of paid and volunteer staff, contracts, music education, and relationships with donors, supporters, and the board. Anita Orne has served as Executive Director since 2015 and has informed the Board of her intention to retire at the end of 2025. It is our desire to bring her successor on board in early 2025 so that they can work together through the summer Festival.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for the arts and a record of success as executive director or key next-tier role such as director of development for a nonprofit organization. The Executive Director is a highly visible and active member of the Orcas Island community and therefore is required to reside on Orcas Island.
