Orcas School welcomes new custodian

Welcome the new Orcas High School Custodian Bruce Van Noy.

Van Noy was born in Seattle, raised in North California, and educated in genetics and molecular biology at the University of California, Berkley. He also studied poetry with Barney Childs at the University of Redlands. A former commercial fisherman in Alaska, and a professional ski instructor based in Ketchum, Idaho.

Van Noy’s true passion is writing – all genres. Bruce’s work was recently recognized as a finalist in the Montreal International Poetry Festival contest. The award is announced in September.
