The Orcas Veg Fest is a new non profit group of islanders excited to be planning the first ever Orcas Veg Fest on May 16, 2020.

The Orcas Veg Fest will be a fun, interactive and engaging event that will raise awareness about the health benefits of a plant based diet, inform about the environment impact and social injustices of food and to cultivate empathy for our animals by highlighting ethical considerations.This free event will have booths with food samples, educational info, videos, food for sale, recipes, bakery items, health and lifestyle items for sale, music, children’s activities, raffles, and swag bags. There will also be an adjoining wine and beer garden facilitated by Orcas Winery. The first fundraiser is a BBQ on August 25 at Island Hoppin, 11-3. We’ll be grilling up Beyond Burgers and Beyond Brats with all the fixins! Come enjoy the famous plant based burger that tastes just like meat!
