Chairperson of the Art and Design Education Department since 1981, Dr. Amy Brook Snider also works as a consultant in arts education. Her approach to the profession is exemplified by the range of her interests, which include story telling, children’s picture books, self-taught artists, and the integration of design in art education.
Snider will be the next presenter in Orcas Conservatory’s Lecture/Demo Series. “Images of Experience” will be held on Wednesday, March 23 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Madrona Room. She will combine a talk with slides of artists’ work. The cost is $10 for the evening.
