Orcas Center hosts the return of the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program for a fully-staged production of Donizetti’s Viva La Mamma on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
“These young students have just completed their fire prevention and safety program,” said Orcas Fire representative Maxx Jones. “Every fall Kaleidoscope presents the “Play Safe Be Safe” program, which teaches preschoolers what to do if there is a fire, how to crawl low under smoke and what to do if their clothing catches fire. Upon graduation, they pay a visit to the fire station to see firsthand that firefighters are friends! Congratulations Kaleidoscope for over 10 years of teaching our kids how to be safe!”
The Healing Arts Center building looks pretty darn good for 100 years old.
