Music in the Park welcomes back Twirl on Sunday, Aug. 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Twirl is the brother-sister duo Clint and Grace McCune who are joined by national touring violinist Joel Gamble.

A Seattle-based band, Twirl has roots on Orcas Island. Twirl headlined in May on the main stage at Orcas Center and opened for Bill Frisell last fall.

Grace McCune is a resident of Orcas who has starred in Orcas Center’s musicals “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Fantastiks,” and “Cabaret in the Air.” She has been one of the featured acts at Martin Lund’s “One World” for the last two years.

Clint McCune has followed the path of the minstrel. Building from the releases of eleven collaborative albums, Clint opened SoulFood, a music venue, which he calls “a safe haven for musicians.” Clint supports the arts as Arts Commissioner for the City of Redmond, WA.

Twirl is working on its first Music Documentary and will bring new music to perform. The concert will be streaming live on www.soulfoodbooks.com. Twirl is returning to the Stage on the Green and this concert is free. Picnics and dancing are recommended.
