The third annual Steve Resch Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held at the Orcas Island Golf Course on Saturday, May 18.

“Thank you to all the sponsors and participants that have made the first two Steve Resch Memorial Golf Tournaments such a success,” say organizers.

Resch spent his youth on Orcas, where he attended public school and graduated from high school in 1989 as class salutatorian and a three-sport athlete. Steve was a beloved husband, son, brother and friend. He lost his battle with cancer in 2016. Resch requested of his friends and family that they arrange a scholarship for a graduating Orcas Island High School Senior each year.

Entrance fees for payers are $133 and include a cart. This tournament is the primary annual fundraiser to support the scholarship. As part of this fundraising event, businesses can sponsor hole and cart sponsorships that include a custom sign. Registration for both players and sponsorships close April 28.
