A little snow can’t keep Santa away.

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual tree lighting festivities in the Village Green on Saturday, Dec. 3. Despite freezing temperatures, fun was had by all.

Kids enjoyed a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot cider and cookies and the Turtleback Brass, who played holiday music.

The tree on the Village Green was expertly wrapped in strands of colored bulbs by the reliable crew from the Orcas Power and Light Cooperative.
