The Solid Waste Advisory Committee advises on all aspects of solid waste management planning, assists in the development of programs and policies concerning solid waste management, and recommends appropriate public policy to the Council and the Friday Harbor Town Council.

The Clean Water Advisory Committee’s purpose is to provide advice to County Council and make recommendations pertaining to water, including capital facilities, projects, priorities of projects and other policy matters.
The new Climate and Sustainability Advisory Committee (Council Representative: Cindy Wolf) is being formed and will be launched in the coming weeks – stay tuned for a forthcoming invitation for applicants.
Each committee will review and interview applicants, before forwarding a recommendation to County Council for approval. All committee members must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination per San Juan County requirements.
