Strawberry Council and Orcas Center team up to make masks

From wolves to wombats, damselles to Dante, the opportunity for kids and grownups to make masks like the masters, as well as make them come alive on Center Stage at Orcas Center will occur between June 13 and July 3.

Between June 13 and June 19, the Olga Strawberry Council will be holding two workshops for adults lead by Diane Trapp, a renowned mask maker and talented instructor of the craft. Trapp has been making masks for almost 30 years, and her work is seen in stage productions, masked balls, Halloween and dancing on the streets of New Orleans.

In conjunction with the above adult workshops, the Orcas Center will be holding a two-part Summer Theatre Camp extravaganza including mask making with Diane and creative story telling with Mik Kuhlman from UMO Theatre for children six through teens between June 22 and July 3 culminating with a performance on Center Stage.
