The staff, board, and families of the Orcas Montessori School would like to acknowledge everyone who supported our school’s successful solar energy and education project.

Over the past year we’ve updated our heating system, replaced our roof, installed a 9.3 kilowatt photovoltaic solar system that provides clean energy to the school and the community, and provided training and hands-on materials for 15 local teachers on renewable energy topics. Our school’s solar project would not have been possible without the support of all of those who provided time, expertise and funding.
