The “Bard Gallery” opened to community fanfare on March 20 in the vacant space next to Office Cupboard. The shop, featuring local art both Shakespearean-themed and not, is part of Orcas Island Chamber’s Shakespeare Festival scheduled for March 30 and 31. It will be open until the end of April; hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Anyone wishing to see the gallery during its off hours can ask Michell at Office Cupboard, 376-2378, for assistance.
