Reynolds paints in watercolor, and her background in commercial art and marketing is evident in her illustrative style. Having written and produced Japanese children’s books,  it was a “personal creative expression” for Reynolds to capture snapshots of island life.

Neely has been a “regular” on the Crow Valley artists’ roster for several seasons. For this show, Neely presents a new and contemporary style of her woodcuts, with larger, bolder images and richer contrast in her cuts. As a special addition to the show, this artist and art instructor will be demonstrating her skilled techniques throughout the opening weekend.

Ridgway is a beloved local artist who is well known for his recognizable plein-air style, with broad brush strokes and deep colors. New works from Ridgway are always much anticipated.

“Three Artists, Three Mediums” opens Friday, Aug. 5 with an artist’s reception at Crow Valley’s downtown Eastsound gallery from 4 to 7 p.m.
