Charley Thweatt will be playing acoustic music on Lopez during a concert, two workshops, and an appearance at the Teddy Bear Picnic this week.

The “Chants Encounter” concert and mini workshop will be on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

“The Heart of ‘A Course in Miracles’” workshop is on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Both events are at Grace Episcopal Church, and there is a $15 suggested donation for each.

Thweatt’s music has been described as bringing “deep connection and playful joy that leaves your heart open and your spirit soaring.” He will also perform at the 28th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic at the Lopez Library on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. There will be snacks and entertainment, bring your bear (or other stuffed friend) and a sun hat. This event is free.

Thweatt will regale the crowd with silly songs and Mr. Bear may even be lured out of his cave in the library basement.
